being sick ecard

Well, I think this ecard pretty much says it all...I'm sick. That's why there was no post on Monday and I wasn't planning on it today but thought I'd update you all quick so you know I'm still alive....ya know cause you were totes worried about me for the past 2 days. I should be back back Friday as I seem to be on the up-and-up.
And because I love you all and I know that you're DYING to know what I think about Kimye (that's Kim Kardashian and Kayne West for you out of touch with the world) being on the cover of Vogue,

Moroccan Style Feature Wall

DIY Moroccan Style Feature Wall

Before we moved in to the farm house, I knew I wanted to do a feature wall in the living room on the far wall that you can see when you walk in the house from the door by the kitchen.

You can see through the kitchen, dining room, and living room and with the brick archway, I knew I didn't want anything too crazy but I wanted more than just an accent wall that's a different color, so I started looking for stencils.

"WILT" Wednesdays 3.19.14

You want to know what really irks me? Well of course you! Nail polish that chips within 2 days of putting it on. I mean really, I work at a desk, haven't done dishes, and played on my iPad. Can someone please explain to me why my nail polish chips so easily while basically doing nothing?

I use a base coat, do 2 coats of polish, and a top coat. I also use good nail polish, Essie this time to be exact. I just don't get it and probably never will. Sigh. On the other hand, it's a really pretty color:

Favorite Pinterest Finds - Weekly Roundup 3.17.14

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

I especially love this holiday because I'm part Irish and it's so fun to take part in the celebrations. This year, I celebrated by sitting my ass on the couch and watching TV. Oh, and I also cleaned my house and did laundry....try not to be jealous of my exciting life...

To start off this week's weekly roundup of my favorite Pinterest finds, we have these very fitting and adorable cupcakes:

The Perfect Gray

I have been striving for many years to find 'the perfect gray' paint color. Most are too blue or green and that's not what I'm looking for, I want black and white mixed together to make gray (they tell me that this wouldn't work but I'm still not convinced).

I have finally found that perfect gray paint color and am excited to share it with you so you don't have to search high and low like I did.

"WILT" Wednesdays 3.12.14

Justin Bieber asshat

I thought this picture was fitting to start out WILT Wednesday this week due to the douche canoe that is Justin Bieber. I mean, have you seen his deposition videos that were recently released? Could he be any more cocky? I don't want to waste a lot of my time talking about him because he's not worth it but I just want to say that I won't be buying anymore of his music if he keeps acting like this. Well, I take that back, I will only buy his music if it's really good, or catchy, or applies to my life...oh hell, who am I kidding, I will still buy his music because I like it but I won't be happy that he's making money off of me!

Favorite Pinterest Finds - Weekly Roundup 3.10.14

Happy Monday! (I say that with the most sarcastic tone ever) I mean who is ever happy that it's Monday? Not me that's for sure. I am still imaging what I could be doing rather than being at work and that list includes:
1. Sleeping
2. Getting ready to watch The Price is Right
3. Sleeping
4. Snuggling with Adriana and Roxy
5. Sleeping
6. Oh, did I mention Sleeping?
If you can't tell, this girl loves her sleep. Although, since I'm already awake I might as well be somewhat productive and provide you with my very first ever Favorite Pinterest Finds!

First we have to start out with the best.find.ever. I'm not even joking, this is life changing! Everyone take a seat and let me introduce to you..............

DIY Peacock Color Inspired Canvas Painting

Happy Friday!

So back when I was dreaming up the all the plans and ideas I had for decorating our house, the one thing I knew I wanted was to incorporate peacock colors. I've had a serious love for the combination of the teals, blue, greens, purple, gold and how well they all look together.

So I decided that this peacock color combination would be perfect in my living as accent colors for decorating against light grey walls.

Once I found the perfect color for the walls (will be coming in a later post), I began to look around for decorations and wall décor.

I was having an incredibly hard time finding a large print that incorporated peacock colors that wasn't actually a picture of a peacock. I eventually found one that I liked and thought I could settle with it until I saw that was $, hell no.

That's when I decided that I'm going to DIY my own peacock color canvas, well at least I was going to try!

First Edition of "WILT" Wednesdays

Welcome to the first edition of WILT (What Is Lisa Thinking) Wednesdays. I'm going to make it a goal to do this type of post every Wednesday. The plan is just to take the jumbled mess of ideas, thoughts, complaints, judgments, etc. that's currently happening in my brain.

I'm going to start out by saying I've been neglecting this blog for months on purpose. When I started it I wanted blog about my life, projects, home décor, and everything in between. I really started the blog at a bad time and I would get mad at myself when I didn't do a project so that I could write a blog post about it. I consciously made the decision to stop blogging while I could get my life rolling at a normal speed and "build up" some projects if you will. That way if I didn't want to do a home project for awhile I would be okay and not get mad at myself for not being able to give my readers (all 3 of you! ha!) something to read at work.
